About
I plan travel the way I used to plan lessons: like it matters.
Hi — I'm Stacy. Before I planned trips, I taught. I spent my career in education and earned a PhD in English literacy, which is a formal way of saying I care about how people actually experience things — not just how they look on paper. It turns out that instinct transfers perfectly to travel.
I'm a mother of three, based in New York. For years, our family trips were my proving ground: Japan by rail with children and luggage logistics to solve; Italy with three generations at one table; the Caribbean and Puerto Rico enough times to know which beaches live up to their photographs and which resorts genuinely welcome kids.
Friends started asking me to plan their trips long before it was my job. Now it is. As an independent travel advisor of Fora Travel, I book through a network of hotel and travel partnerships that most travelers can't access on their own — which means the trips I plan come with real advantages: breakfast included, room upgrades when available, resort credits, and a person (me) the hotel actually answers to.
What working with me feels like
I ask more questions than you expect, and then I take the whole thing off your plate. You'll get an itinerary that fits the people actually going — the early riser, the picky eater, the one who needs a nap by two o'clock — not an idealized version of your family. And when something changes mid-trip, you text me, not a call center.
The fine print, plainly
Hotel, cruise, and tour bookings cost you nothing extra — the travel partners compensate me. For planning-intensive work, I charge a transparent fee you'll see before we start. Details are on the services page.
